     La Noblaie Wines

La Noblaie, Chenin Blanc

A perfect jewel of a wine, produced especially from our 50 year-old vines section of the vineyard. It is a dry and fruity Chenin with a beautifully long taste. In 2004, it was judged the 5th best dry Chenin in the world at "les Rendez-vous du Chenin" of Fontevraud (Loire Valley, France).

The vintage 2010 will be available soon at the cellar
Floral nose and exotic fruits aromas are very expressive. This white wine is provided with a round, fresh mouth and a pleasant minerality at the end.
Best to drink between 10 and 12 °C. It accompanies deliciously appetizers, grilled fish, white meat and cheese.

La Part des Anges, Chenin Blanc

Pascal Magis, painter in the Périgord, found in that painting the whole depth, complexity and delicacy of our dry white wine made from old Chenin vines.
The small numbers of bottles - only 600 for 2003 vintage - makes us think about the evaporation of the fine potion during aging : "la Part des Anges".

The vintage 2008 is available at the cellar

La Noblaie, Rosé

Produced from the young vines of Cabernet Franc. It has a clear and smooth pink colour and has a lovely fresh and very fuity taste.

Les Blancs Manteaux, Red wine

This delicate red wine is produced from an old block of vines - hence a very low and rare yield. Long maceration and aging confer a rare finesse and elegance on this wine.

The vintage(s) on sale just now at the cellar is 2008
The tasting provides a rich nose of small red fruits. The round tannins envelop the wine with elegance.
Best to enjoy between 14 and 16 °C. It accompanies deliciously pig meat, red and grilled meats and cheese.

Pierre de Tuf, Red wine

It is fermented in a rock elliptical barrel (structured vertically) which was carved out naked rock for this purpose 600 years ago! The wine is produced, using as closely as possible, the techniques of those past times - proof that wines of this distant past were certainly not 'rough'.
An exceptional Cabernet Franc red wine of very limited annual production - of about 22 barrels, that is, about 7000 bottles only.

The vintage(s) on sale just now at the cellar are 2007 & 2008
This powerful wine has very ripe and spicy flavours, lots of complexity in aromas. It has a round and smooth taste and a mysteriously 'warm' effect in the mouth.
Best to enjoy between 14 and 16 °C. It accompanies perfectly pig meat, red meat, grilled meat and spicy dishes

Les Chiens-Chiens, Red wine

It smells of blackberries, sandalwood and black olive. On the palate, we feel black fruits aromas and spices. Tanins are smooth and elegant, they offer a satisfying persistence.
